Series creator Mike Judge set to write and produce the series, as well as voice the ageless slackers.

Comedy Central has announced that it has cemented a partnership with Mike Judge for a reboot of the seminal animated series, Beavis and Butt-head. The deal also includes room for spin-offs and specials.

The series first debuted in 1993 on the MTV Network. The champions of unfiltered commentary provided satirical hot takes on many socially-relevant topics. The couch surfing, heavy metal loving duo would become the voice of a generation, albeit unknowingly.

Among the more memorable instances include Beavis and Butt-head's play-by-play of some of heavy music's most cherished videos from the likes of Death, Pantera, Morbid Angel, GWAR, and Korn. While there is no word on whether the new version of the series will include the music video element, fingers are most certainly crossed. The details thus far point to an order of two seasons of the series that will see Beavis and Butt-head navigating a new Gen-Z world, with themes that work for fans both old and new.
