The fourth project in the Jackass franchise gets a fitting title and a wild first look ahead of the official trailer release on July 20th
Director Jeff Tremaine and franchise star Johnny Knoxville are officially back with the fourth and said to be the final project in the Jackass franchise set to premiere in theaters later this year. The working title of Jackass 4 has since changed with the introduction of the film’s official title in the very apropos, Jackass Forever.
Paramount Pictures revealed the title and a stash of film stills to keep fans buzzing until the July 20th trailer drop which showcases the brand’s maintstays in Steve‑O, Jason ‘Wee Man’ Acuna, Chris Pontius, Dave England, Ehren McGhehey and Preston Lacy coming together once again for a feature length collection of gnarly stunts, gross gags, and hilarious hijinks.
Jackass Forever will also feature the arrival of new names to the chaotic crew with the likes of Sean McInerney, Jasper Dolphin and Zach Holmes, joining the ranks. Of course what would a Jackass film be without the addition of a few high profile cameos? For the fourth installment, the guys boast some pretty heavy (and eclectic) starpower as Post Malone, comedian Eric André, pro-wrestler Darby Allin, UFC heavyweight champ Francis Ngannou, skateboarding legend Tony Hawk, and the one and only Shaquille O’Neal all make appearances in the film.
The film’s official synopsis read, “Celebrating the joy of being back together with your best friends and a perfectly executed shot to the dingdong, the original Jackass crew return for another round of hilarious, wildly absurd, and often dangerous displays of comedy with a little help from some exciting new cast.”
The reveal of the film’s official title and the first glimpse of images from the production also come with a October 22nd premiere date In theaters. The announcement from the film’s official social media handle states, “We’re back! Sure, a little bit older and a whole lot grayer, but definitely not the wiser. Catch the trailer debut online Tuesday, July 20, and we’ll see y’all in the theaters October 22.”
