Revisiting The Best Angles on WWE Smackdown & AEW Shows This Week plus More Wrestling News

- By Rob Pasbani

Smackdown had another excellent storyline advancement and columnist Rob Pasbani is here to catch you up.

WWE Smackdown has become the can't-miss show of the week for WWE fans, and the main reason is the excellent Bloodline storyline. Even though Sami Zayn lost the WWE Undisputed title last week, the storyline is still moving forward, with Kevin Owens rejecting his plea for help on Raw this past Monday and then last night an incredible exchange with Jimmy Uso.

Uso spent the whole night trying to get a hold of his brother Jey to explain his non-action at the WWE Elimination Chamber last week. At the end of the night, Jimmy comes out to call out his brother, but Sami came out. Sami couldn't believe Jimmy was the first to attack him after Sami turned on Roman. Jimmy responded back that Sami is the one that caused all of this and broke up his family. Sami retorted that family doesn't make you test your loyalty. Another A+ segment.

Dominick Mysterio was all over the show, and very comfortable in his new heel role. First, he stood up for his "mami," Rhea Ripley and led to this weird exchange with Charlotte. Charlotte reminded Dom that she had a real papi at home who has a very thick… accent!

Later in the show, Dom had a great exchange with his dad further advancing their storyline:

What's happening on AEW TV?

AEW's next big PPV, Revolution, is just one week away and the promotion has gone into overdrive. MJF has shifted gears with his character, offering a new explanation for why he doesn't like Bryan Danielson, tying it to his (allegedly) real-life breakup with his fiancé. The two meet in a one-hour iron man match next week.

"Jungle Boy" Jack Perry keeps trying, and failing, to get revenge on Christian:

On Rampage, Young Bucks and Aussie Open had a really fun match that ultimately led to the setup for the Elite vs. House of Black at Revolution.
