Vans has partnered with SJC Drums, Spotify, and Fender to find emerging talent on the verge of breaking big.
Skate pioneer Vans has announced the global version of their Musicians Wanted competition. The open submission format encourages bands to send in their best for a chance to score an incredible prize package.
From now until October 11th, bands can submit the single song that best represents their sound to the official website. From there, a panel will determine the top 5 finalists that will move onto the next round.
On December 9th, Vans will host an online concert that will feature the top 5 regional finalists all jockeying for the top spot. The winner of the competition will earn a $2500 budget for a music video. The winner will also get the chance to open for Anderson .Paak (Covid pending), score gear from Fender and SJC Drums, and will be featured in Vans Spotify audio ads.
The Top 5 finalists won’t walk away empty-handed. They will all be playlisted on the Vans Spotify and Apple Music playlists. They will be added to the GOBIG! music library and will be assigned a Fender regional representative. All this, and the bands will get gear from Fender and Vans.
The panel of judges includes Anderson .Paak, J.I.D., and Damian Abraham of Fucked Up to name a few.
