Following Wandavision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Thor’s older brother begins his own adventure on the Disney+ streaming platform.
Though fans are in the thick of The Flacon and The Winter Soldier series, Disney+ and Marvel have gotten ahead of the game an unveiled the official trailer for the Tom Hiddleston led series in Loki.
Among the most anticipated streaming series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the storyline of Loki picks up where 2019 Avengers Endgame left off, with Loki in possession of the Tesseract and ultimately involved with the Owen Wilson-led Time Variance Authority.
“We protect the proper flow of time,” Mobius M. Mobius (Wilson) explains to Loki. “You picked up the Tesseract, breaking reality. I want you to help us fix it. I need your unique Loki perspective.” The premise of the series seems to revolve around Loki’s involvement with the TVA and his attempt to repair the reality he altered with the acquisition of the Tesseract.
The relationship between Loki and his counterparts at the TVA is contentious to say the least, with Loki referring to the time police as clowns. However, Loki wears the role of anti-hero will as he manages to rise to the occasion and still deliver his signature quick wit.
The cast also includes Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Judge Renslayer and Wunmi Mosaku of Lovecraft Country as Hunter B-15. Loki begins streaming on Disney+ June 11th.
