The latest offering from the band’s sophomore LP ‘Reluctant Hero’ reiterates why the November 20th album is so eagerly-anticipated.
The third single from Killer Be Killed’s Reluctant Hero is yet another example why the album is already being touted as one of the year’s best and it hasn’t even been released yet.
“Inner Calm From Outer Storms” features a slow build to a frenzied crescendo that asserts the band’s ability to craft dynamically heavy music. Starting out with a locomotive pace, sturdy and sure, the track progresses into a fever pitch of energy that exemplifies the notion chaos at the core of the song.
“‘Inner Calm From Outer Storms’ is about having the ability to sense a distant or unseen target,” explains Troy Sanders. “It explores a journey of reckless abandon where the destination may, or may not, actually exist.”
Greg Puciato echos Sanders’ explanation of the track in, “the idea of being open to the freedom of having chaos be a state of existence.”
The single is the latest in a succession of releases from Reluctant Hero, including “Deconstructing Self-Destruction” and “Dream Gone Bad“. The LP is set to arrive November 20th on Nuclear Blast Records.
