Clocking in at just over a minute long, the track from the band’s 2020 release ‘Reluctant Hero’ is an auto ass kicking from start to finish.

The collective of Max Cavalera (Soulfly/ex-Sepultura), drummer Ben Koller (Converge/Mutoid Man), singer/guitarist Greg Puciato (The Dillinger Escape Plan/The Black Queen) and vocaist/bass player Troy Sanders (Mastodon/Gone is Gone) made a triumphant return in 2020 with the release of their sophomore record, ‘Reluctant Hero’.

The album was among the best genre releases of the year, backed by its inclusion on many ‘Best of’ end of the year lists and high praise from the likes of Consequence of Sound, Brooklyn Vegan, Revolver, Kerrang!, Loudwire, and Metal Injection just to name a few.

Revisiting the power of the album, the band has debuted a new visual created by Bryan Bankovich, featuring band footage by Jim Louvau for the all out assault of the track, “Animus”. Clocking in at just over a minute long, the Killer Be Killed drubbing proves relentless throughout in one of the album’s most aggressive tracks.

Max Cavalera offered the perfect summary, “This song is the barbaric side of Killer Be Killed; 2 chords, raw as fuck! Take no prisoners!” Troy Sanders states, “A cursory homage to the barbaric conquerors, the Huns!” The no-frills sample of the band’s brutality offers yet another layer in the artistry that exists at the core of Killer Be Killed.
