Animals As Leaders introduce first new album in five years with Parrhesia

The announcement comes with the reveal of the second single, “The Problem Of Other Minds”.

Progressive instrumental powerhouse Animals As Leaders caused a stir back in September when the band unveiled a standalone single in “Monomyth“. The offering was the first since the 2016 cycle of universally acclaimed The Madness Of Many which further propelled the unit into the heights of their genre.

While the reveal of the track wasn’t explicit as a segue into a new album, the movement after being dormant for some six years suggested that the song was an indicator of more to come.

Now Animals As Leaders have confirmed fans’ suspicion with the announcement of their next full length studio effort in Parrhesia. Coupled with the news of the March 25th drop via Sumerian Records, Animals As Leaders have shared a second serving from the sessions with the cut, “The Problem Of Other Minds“.

Discussing the album announcement and reveal of the band’s single and accompanying visual, Tosin Abasi explained, “It’s been a while since we’ve released a body of work. We’re really proud of this collection of songs as well as the visual components, and are excited to share it with all of you.”

The second visual from the announced album follows the initial success of the high-concept showing of “Monomyth”. The video was helmed by Telavaya Reynolds and showcased the choreography of Tlathui Maza / NOHBORDS. Since it’s debut the video has amassed nearly a million views and has surpassed over a million streams across preferred DSPs – further reiterating the excitement surrounding the band.

Parrhesia arrives March 25th, 2022 via Sumerian Records. Pre-orders and various bundles are currently available – HERE
