Among the leaders of contemporary metalcore, UK standouts Architects have had achieved a banner 2021. This February, the band debuted their ninth studio album, For Those That Wish to Exist to universal acclaim.
The expansive, sonically daring effort fruited the band’s first number 1 in the UK and showcased an impressive stylistic evolution that roped in elements of electronica, brass, orchestral string arrangements and choral harmonies.
Leading into the release of the album, Architects settled into the historic confines of London’s Royal Albert Hall for a streaming performance that showcased a unit in peak stride. Sharing new selections from For Those That Wish to Exist as well as essentials from the band’s stacked catalog, the performance signaled a landmark achievement for the band.
Adding to their resume of legendary performances, the band has now revealed they will broadcast from another iconic destination with a December 11th global streaming event from Abbey Road Studios. The performance will be bolstered by the Parallax Orchestra, comprised of some of England’s most venerated classical musicians. Three time British Composer award (BASCA) winner Simon Dobson will serve as conductor for the grand scale event.
The Architects x Abbey Road Studios stream will broadcast via Veeps on December 11th at 12pm PT/3pm ET. The performance will be available for 48 hours after the initial premiere.
