The director’s cut of the stream will feature an all new edit of the historic ten-night run at the historic NIPPON BUDOKAN.
Earlier this year, Japanese sensation Babymetal announced a 10-night run of shows at the historic Nippon Budokan to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the band. Holding court within the historic confines of Nippon Budokan, the venue is especially significant in the band’s history, as Babymetal remains the youngest female artist to ever headline the arena.
The monumental succession of shows managed to take place despite the Japanese government declaring a state of emergency just two weeks prior. Implementing very diligent protocol and safety measures, in addition to the distribution of their own “Saviour Masks,” Babymetal successfully made history yet again with ’10 Babymetal Budokan’ and did so without any reports clusters or transmission stemming from the series of shows.
While the livestream edit of ’10 Babymetal Budokan’ debuted June 26th, the band has announced plans for an encore streaming event, produced by DANNY WIMMER PRESENTS. The encore stream is a director’s cut version of the world premiere of ’10 Babymetal Budokan’ that features different edits of the powerful production.
In addition to the announcement of the global streaming encore, the band has also detailed the arrival of the ’10 Babymetal Budokan’ live album which will be released digitally and as a double CD on October 1st via Cooking Vinyl. There will also be a double LP vinyl release that will drop in late November. The 13-track compilation spans the band’s decade long tenure and asserts some of their most impressive showings from the history-making 2021 arena event.
’10 Babymetal Budkoan’ Encore Global Stream broadcasts Saturday July 24th at 12pm LA / 3pm NY / 8pm UK / 9pm EU. The stream will be viewable on-demand until Sunday July 25 11:59pm PST.
