The track marks the beginning of the next chapter for the Canadian deathcore standouts and serves as precursor to their upcoming tour with We Came As Romans.
Among the most promising and equally pulverizing outfits among the ranks of modern deathcore, Canadian brutalizers Brand of Sacrifice have unveiled the first glimpse of their next chapter with the launch of the epic single, “Exodus”.
The reveal serves as the first delivery of new music in over a year and follows the gargantuan wallop of the band’s 2021 onslaught of their celebrated LP, LIfeblood. Coupled with the track brimming with instrumental intricacy and unmatched intensity, Brand has enlisted auteur visionary director JosiahX to craft a sinister, stylishly ominous visual that underscores the weighty thematic direction of the track – bloody hands and all.
Brand of Sacrifice frontman Kyle Anderson shared, “We’re so excited to unveil the next chapter of Brand of Sacrifice! Exodus examines the darkest aspects of what we as humans are capable of, coming from the standpoint of a fearless leader.”
Anderson further elaborates on the narrative of the visual. “From the eyes of his brother and comrade, we witness an ability to survive and push forward when what he loves most is stolen right before his eyes by the one he looked up to and relied on. Trust can be earned, respect can be dished out, and loyalty is demonstrated. Betraying any of those, loses you the three.”
The new track and the accompanying visual arrives as the band is currently prepping to embark on a US trek to kick of 2023, supporting We Came As Romans and Erra on a multi-city, North American jaunt. The 24-date stretch is set to begin January 19th in Pittsburgh, PA and wrap in Motor City with a finale in Detroit, MI on February 18th.
In addition, Brand of Sacrifice add to their robust merch game with the reveal of a special “Exodus” capsule to coincide with the arrival of the new track. The collection features two unique t-shirt designs and a signature tie-dye hoodie that celebrates the latest single. Shop the collection – HERE
