The band will also headline the event with a special throwback set full of tracks that haven’t been performed in years.
Not two weeks have passed since the first announcement of Bring Me the Horizon’s destination event set for Malta in May of 2022. The news of the extended engagement that also featured a special headlining from the Sheffield powerhouse, would also include a curated line-up of artists that would likely be as spectacular as the locale.
The first announcement of artists playing the Weekender event in Malta has arrived and spectacular is indeed fitting. Among the collection of guests recruited feature fellow countrymen Bullet For My Valentine, Caleb Shomo and Ohio juggernaut Beartooth, Pvris, Motionless In White, 2021 MVP candidate Spiritbox, the Nova Twins and the dynamic duo of Sam Matlock and Milkie Way in Wargasm.
Frontman Oli Sykes spoke of the initial reveal of the Malta gathering and suggested that the band’s set would be ideal for the diehard BMTH fans.
“We’re buzzing to be hosting a Bring Me The Horizon themed festival in Malta next year, coming up with as much madness as you’d expect from a fully metal, rock festival,” enthused Sykes.
“As well as our headline set we’re also going to be doing a special throwback set with some songs we haven’t played for years, and have an insane line-up of friends and guests coming out to perform too. It’s basically going to be the greatest weekend ever.”
