Cult of Luna Announce New Album “The Long Road North”

Posted by Corinne Westbrook in News on November 5, 2021

The album serves as the continuation of the sonic succession further developed on the band’s 2021 EP, The Raging River.

Cult of Luna have announced their new full-length album, The Long Road North, set for release on February 11th, 2022 via Metal Blade Records. This is a fast follow to this year’s EP The Raging River which was releases via the band’s Red Creek Records. Where the 2021 EP was described as a “transition album” the upcoming album is expected to have a bigger sound.

Vocalist/guitarist Johannes Persson comments: “The long road north is a long road home. A direction dictated by a call that penetrates rock and echoes through the forest. It flows over every lake, accelerated by the wind. When it reaches you, you know it’s time. Time to move forward. You don’t know where it will lead but you put the trust in it. With eyes raised towards the midnight sun it pulls you closer. The road is long and the end is uncertain.”

Pre-orders will begin on December 1st, 2021 HERE.

The album comes just in time for Cult of Luna’s 2022 European tours! Tickets are available HERE.
