The legendary TOOL drummer will join the 8G Band for tapings later this month.
Continuing to be one of the few places via network television that nurtures the heavy spectrum of music, NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers has announced another stellar addition to their ever-expanding roster of guest drummers that sit in with the show’s house band, the 8G Band.
Making his return for the first time since 2016, Danny Carey of TOOL will serve as the special guest drummer on the show from January 23rd through the 26th. The confirmation of Carey underscores the show’s deep-rooted connection to the heavy music community, regularly booking drummers from the hard rock and metal space to sit in.
Among the drummers that have guested in the last year include the likes of Craig Reynolds of Stray From the Path, Aric Improta of Night Verses, Art Cruz of Lamb of God, Tucker Rule of Thursday, and Daniel Fang of Turnstile just to name a few.
In recent TOOL-related news, the band has been confirmed to close out the 2023 edition of Welcome to Rockville, slated for May 18th through the 21st at Daytona Speedway in Florida. The band will join likes of Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold and Pantera for an incredible klckoff to the domestic festival season. Tickets and information can be found – HERE
