Experimental Metal Masters Imperial Triumphant Release New Single “Merkurius Gilded”

Posted by Corinne Westbrook in News on June 16, 2022

Pushing the boundaries of extreme art, metal’s provocateurs have enlisted smooth jazz legend Kenny G for their latest assault.

Avant-garde metal outfit Imperial Triumphant have released a new single from their upcoming full-length album, Spirit Of Ecstasy. Always ready to not only push boundaries, but obliterate them entirely, the new track, “Merkurius Gilded”, features saxophone legend Kenny G as well as composer Max Gorelick.

The band elaborates on the video: “What once was a gilded age of industry and exceptional growth only to be stricken with panic that shall leave the common man in the dust, dried up and faded away. Merkurius looks down upon Forty Second Street mobs releasing their fortunes into the sky of ignorance.”

“Merkurius Gilded” follows the release of the band’s debut track, “Maximalist Scream (featuring Snake/Voivod)”. Spirit of Ecstacy is due out on July 22nd via Century Media Records.

Spirit of Ecstasy tracklisting:

  1. Chump Change
  2. Metrovertigo
  3. Tower of Glory, City of Shame
  4. Merkurius Gilded
  5. Death on a Highway
  6. In The Pleasure of Their Company
  7. Bezumnaya
  8. Maximalist Scream
