Fallujah drops the final preview of their forthcoming fifth album with the punishing track, “Soulbreaker”

The band embarks on the “Divine Ascension Tour” with Psycroptic Interloper and Cognitive next month.

Continuing what has been a blistering return to form, Bay Area tech death brutalizers Fallujah have followed previous previews of the fifth studio album Empryean with yet another caustic single, the final of this album cycle, with the track “Soulbreaker”.

Adding to the groundswell of momentum generated by the album’s existing singles including “Radiant Ascension” and “Embrace Oblivion”, “Soulbreaker”further asserts Fallujah’s willingness and ability to explore new sonic terrain.

Founding guitarist Scott Carstairs commented, “Prepare to have your mind melted by our latest track ‘SOULBREAKER.’ This will be our third and final single from our monstrous record ‘Empyrean’ out on 9/9. ‘Soulbreaker’ is a psychedelic spiral into depravity, relentlessly beating you down with pissed off riffs and ethereal walls of sonic bliss. Try not to break your neck listening to this one.”

Empyrean serves as the first delivery of new music from the band since 2019’s Undying Light. Boasting a reconfigured lineup that includes primary songwriter/guitarist Scott Carstairs and drummer Andrew Baird, bassist Evan Brewer formerly of Entheos/The Faceless and Fallujah’s newest member in vocalist Kyle Schaefer, the band continue to reign supreme as respected practitioners of tech death.

Coupled with the release of Empyrean, Fallujah have announced plans for a North American tour with Australian contemporaries Psycroptic on the The Divine Ascension Tour. The 32-date run launches September 11th with Interloper and Cognitive rounding out the bill. A full list of dates and cities can be found below.

Empyrean lands September 9th via Nuclear Blast Records. Pre-order the album – HERE
