Thrash titans Megadeth have unveiled the second installment of the accompanying short film paired with the campaign charging towards the September 2nd release of their eagerly-awaited studio album, The Sick, The Dying… And the Dead. Following the emphatic introduction of “We’ll Be Back: Chapter I” which arrived last month, the band has returned with “Night Stalkers” the continuation of the multi-part short film from mind of Dave Mustaine.

Enlisting Leo Liberti to direct, Night Stalkers: Chapter II depicts the latest chapter of the origin story of Megadeth’s emblematic figure, Vic Rattlehead. The plot further delves into the harrowing events that ultimately leads to transformation of the iconic mascot. The track and music video also features a guest appearance from rap pioneer and Body Count gamechanger, Ice-T.

Night Stalkers: Chapter II aims to build the momentum generated with the arrival of “We’ll Be Back” – an album introduction that was met with universal acclaim both for its incendiary musicianship and it’s cinematic scope. To date, the video has tallied more than two million views as fans continue to count down the days until the album’s September 2nd release.

In addition to the various physical formats of CD, cassette and vinyl, The Sick, The Dying… And the Dead will also be available as limited deluxe edition 2LP, 12-track album pressed on 180g black vinyl, housed in a numbered gatefold jacket with a 12×24 lyrics/credits insert, a lenticular vinyl lithograph and a bonus 7-inch featuring “We’ll Be Back” and the unreleased b-side “The Conjuring (Live).” The limited deluxe edition will only be available via Megadeth’s online store, Sound of Vinyl, and uDiscover. The special edition release can be pre-ordered HERE

The album features the veteran line-up of guitarist Kiko Loureiro and drummer Dirk Verbeuren, with bassist Steve DiGiorgio handling the studio work. Megadeth-alum James LoMenzo rejoined the outfit following the completion of the album and the start of the band’s hefty touring schedule as the now full time member on low end.
