The tech-death titans are currently on tour with Misery Index and will headline with Abysmal Dawn later this month.
Tech death veterans Origin have unveiled the title track for their Nuclear Blast Records return with the June 3rd release, Chaosmos. Following the introduction of the full length last month with the drop of the blistering single, “Ecophagy“, the band has delivered a second serving of their brand of precision-based brutality with the album’s title track.
Origin’s John Longstreth shared, “Have you ever wondered if Origin can perform in an empty warehouse? Here’s your chance to find out! We’re super excited to work with the video wizards at MyGoodEye once again. We had a ton of fun filming this thing! Enjoy CHAOSMOS!”
Enlisting death metal auteur David S. Brodsky and his team at MyGoodEye to helm the “Chaosmos” visual, the stylized performance footage showcases the band’s searing pace and visceral pounding that have become synonymous with the band.
For their most recent full length effort, Origin teamed with Rob Rebeck (UNMERCIFUL, VÄNLADE) to engineer, produce and mix the eight track epic. Dividing their time between Blue Springs, Missouri, and Chapter 2 Recording in Lenexa, Kansas, the final product was completed over the course of 14 days. The cover artwork was created by Santiago Jaramillo of Triple Seis Design.
Origin is currently on the road in the thick of a co-headlining run with Misery Index for “The Space Control Tour 2022”. Later this month, Origin will begin their own headlining trek with Abysmal Dawn. Tickets for both tours are available at originofficial.com/tour
