The Satellite 20th Anniversary Edition is a 27-song collection that includes a newly remastered version of the original album, plus a selection of rarities, remixes, and four previously unreleased demos.

Nu-metal trailblazers P.O.D. have shared plans to mark their 20th anniversary milestone of the release of their seminal Satellite LP with special edition reissue that will include a newly remastered version of the album along with remixes, rarities, and four previously unreleased demos. The 27-track double CD will arrive September 3rd, just shy of the band’s initial September 11th release twenty years prior.

Coinciding with the news of the special anniversary edition of the album, the band has shared they plans for a return to the road in support of the release with the 20th anniversary Satellite Tour that will crisp-cross the country starting August 14th with a performance in Sturgis, SD at Buffalo Chip and concludes with a hometown show in San Diego, CA on October 7th. From Ashes to New, All Good Things, and Sleep Signals have been announced as the touring support for the extended run.

“We’ve been touring and working hard for almost 30 years now,” Sandoval says. “It’s all we know. This past year has really made me realize how much I love what I do and how much I appreciate that I am still able to make music and play live for all of those who are still listening. Thank you to all of you who still love live music and can’t wait to be a part of the P.O.D. experience. We can’t wait to see all of your beautiful faces out on the road.”
The band’s guitarist Marcos Curiel added, “It’s been way too long. We are beyond excited to get back to the stage — where we provide the rock and you provide the roll. From familiar faces to new ones, let’s get back to what we’ve all been waiting for. We are ready as a band to create new memories with you all. Let’s do this! Peace, love, light, and rock ‘n’ roll.”

Since its 2001 release, Satellite has gone on to sell some seven million copies globally with 3 million of those sales happening in the United States. The album spurned four massive singles for the band in “Alive,” “Youth of the Nation,” “Boom,” and the album’s title track.
