The track launches Watt’s Gold Tooth Records and includes contributions from Duff McKagan on bass and Chad Smith on drums.

The Godfather of Punk has returned with his first showcase of new material since his introspective, reflective collection of songs in 2019’s, Free.

Joining forces with in-demand producer Andrew Watt, the icon and the phenom have peeled back the curtain on the Watt’s latest venture with Atlantic Records with the launch of his Gold Tooth Records imprint. The three-minute eruption on the track appropriately titled “Frenzy” features Iggy at his most primal – exuding intensity with the kind of zero fucks given posture that has long been his legacy.

On the latest submission, Iggy is flanked by Watt on guitar, pulling double duty as the project’s producer. Also joining the effort is Guns N Roses veteran Duff McKagan on bass and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers on drums in what equates to a three-minute wallop from start to finish.

Iggy Pop most recently guested alongside Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe on the ONI cut, “Secrets“. Iggy was also recruited for the recent Danny Elfman remix project in Bigger. Messier., reworking the track “Kick Me” along with artists like Boris, Trent Reznor, Xiu Xiu, The Locust, and Boy Harsher on the compilation effort.

Iggy Pop is set to headline the inaugural Destination Chaos late January of 2023. The all-inclusive destination festival will include performances from Descendents, Bouncing Souls, Amyl & The Sniffers, Peter Hook & The Light, The Bronx, Amigo the Devil and more. Get tickets and info – HERE
