If you are in need of a post-quarantine vacation, look no further: rock cruise VORAGOS Destination Lunasea Beach is booked for February 16-21, 2022.
Approximately 2,500 music lovers will be escaping the icy knives of winter to sail from Miami to Lunasea Beach in Harvest Caye, Belize. On February 18, the private island will be home to a festival exclusively for cruise guests. The event will be headlined by Rob Zombie and Chevelle, and will also include performances by Black Stone Cherry, New Years Day, Tetrarch, and Amigo the Devil.
While the festival on Lunasea Beach will be the ultimate party, there will be plenty of fun to be had on the voyage. Guests will be traveling on a Norwegian Pearl ship, which reportedly includes 11 bars, 15 dining venues, an outdoor pool, and a full spa.
There will also be a jam-packed schedule of musical entertainment on board, featuring the likes of Mastodon, Black Stone Cherry, Tremonti, Saint Asonia, Escape The Fate, New Years Day, Fire From The Gods, Bad Omens, Jeris Johnson, Tetrarch, DED, All Good Things, Joyous Wolf and Plush. In addition to several comedy sets, there will also be nightly after hours parties joined by Brass Against, The Voragos Shut Up & Dance, and more.
VORAGOS is the brainchild of Danny Wimmer Presents, the driving force behind festivals like Aftershock and Rock on the Range, and Sixthman, a music-themed cruise mainstay now owned by Norwegian Cruise Line. “For DWP to do a cruise, we had to have something that would make our voyage uniquely ours,” says CEO Danny Hayes. “The opportunity to work with Sixthman and add a festival on a private island in Belize gave us the twist we were looking for and the comfort of working with a best-in-class partner like the Sixthman team.”
As for tickets, VORAGOS has three main tiers that incentivize purchasing as a group. The best deal is to reserve a four-person package, which drops the price from $2,391 per person to $898 (starting at the base rate). All performances, meals, and amenities are included in this price, with three affordable beverage packages available to add at checkout. There are also payment plans for those who would like to pay as the event draws closer. While cabins go on sale tomorrow, 6/4 at 12:00 PM EST, there is a chance to win two tickets today by logging onto the Danny Wimmer Presents Twitch channel.
