The band has also recently added their first arena dates for the European leg of their 2023 touring slate.

UPDATE: Pantera has announced an additional nine dates to their 2023 touring schedule. While the band had already confirmed a handful of European festival dates including appearances at Germany’s Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, Sweden Rock Festival and Copenhell in Denmark, the Texas groove metal titans will now take on an additional run of dates in an arena setting. A full list of dates can be found below.

Texas metal legends Pantera made headlines earlier this year when the band announced they would reform and perform their first shows since their disbandment in 2003. Taking on the vital roles of the inimitable Abbott brothers in drummer Vinnie Paul and guitar icon Dimebag Darrell, two legends in their own right in Zakk Wylde and Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante stepped up to the plate.

Confirmed for a succession of shows that begin next month in Mexico and continue on further south into Latin America, Phil Anselmo, Rex Brown and the previously mentioned Wylde and Benante have begun rehearsals in preparation for their first live outing with the current iteration of the band. Taking to his social media, Charlie Benante shared the first few photos of the band as they continue to prep in New Orleans, LA.

Benante expressed sincere reverence for the enduring legacy of both Vinnie Paul and Dime, sharing that the process of perfecting the punishing quality of Pantera is a tough task, but a true labor of love. “2 weeks in NOLA with these boys, it’s been a lot of work but how could it not? So much heart and soul is going into it. This is all about the Love for Vinnie and Dime, the fans and the music that these 4 created. I’m really enjoying playing these songs -they sound Great! It’s very emotional and it’s just starting to hit me… see you soon, I need a drink.”

Pantera begin their reunion campaign on December 2nd with a highly-touted appearance at Mexico’s Hell and Heaven Fest.
