The highly-anticipated announcement begins the campaign towards the September 30th arrival of the follow-up to ‘We Are Not Your Kind’
After months of speculation and a groundswell of clamor from the heavy music community, Slipknot have confirmed the arrival of their highly-anticipated studio album, The End, So Far.
Set to land September 30th via Roadrunner Records, the announcement of the band’s seventh studio effort arrives with a towering introductory single in “The Dying Song (Time To Sing)”. The launch of the latest campaign is coupled with engrossing new visual helmed by the band’s own M. Shawn Crahan.
Speaking to the commencement fo the new campaign, Crahan offered an auspicious outlook on the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another, “New Music, new art, and new beginnings. Get ready for the end.”
Teaming with Joe Barresi to share the production, The End, So Far follows the universally-acclaimed We Are Not Your Kind. The album earned Slipknot their third consecutive #1 on the Billboard 200. The album tallied #1 debuts in the official album charts internationally, including the UK, Australia, Canada and Mexico in addition to Top 5 debuts in twelve more countries including Germany, France and Sweden.
The End, So Far lands as Slipknot continue their relentless touring schedule both home and abroad throughout 2022 including a third leg of the Knotfest Roadshow domestically with Ice Nine Kills and Crown the Empire, following the band’s current stretch of European dates which see the band earning top billing at Wacken Open Air as well as their own Knotfest Germany and Knotfest Finland plays. Coinciding with the single “The Dying Song (Time to Sing)” is the release of a limited run of vinyl exclusive for Knotfest Premium members.
