The 36-band bill touts some of the best in hardcore, death metal, shoegaze and modern alternative.
The West Coast destination for hardcore and adjacent aggression in Sound and Fury is back in big way with the unveiling of the fest’s 2022 edition. Spanning two days on July 30th and 31st, the stacked 36-band bill will takeover Los Angeles’ Exposition Park with a broad collection of styles spanning from death metal to hardcore, shoegaze to modern alternative.
Skipping the pomp and circumstance of tiered billing, the running list of confirmed artists has been revealed alphabetically which removes the dynamic of opening and headlining artists. Reiterating the sense of community at the core of the scene, the roster includes several standouts including Drain, Show Me the Body, the final go-round for Gulch, current darlings Drug Church, Sunami, Zulu and more.
The metallic contingent is also well represented with bands like Gatecreeper and Texas heavy-hitters Creeping Death set to wreck alongside bands like God’s Hate, Mindforce, Drug Church and Regional Justice Center.
Along with festival weekend passes, organizers released their ‘God Mode’ ticket upgrade that allows free entry into the festival’s weekend kickoff show in addition to any other shows that Sound + Fury hosts during the festival weekend – of which instantly sold out.
