Trivium share their powerful performance of “Like A Sword Over Damocles”

Posted by Ramon Gonzales in News on January 12, 2022

The clip comes from the band’s recent Deadmen & Dragons streaming event that capped the band’s colossal 2021.

Closing out what proved to be a huge 2021 for Trivium, the band hosted not one but two streaming events from their newly christened headquarters in their repurposed airplane hangar.

Trivium celebrated the 10th anniversary of their seminal LP, In Waves with a complete performance of the album – front to back. The following weekend, Trivium helmed their Deadmen & Dragons set, assembling a collection of songs from both their critically-acclaimed What the Dead Men Say and the 2021 full length, In the Court of the Dragon.

The streaming events served to culminate a year that not only saw the band complete the release of their milestone tenth album, but also make a triumphant return to the live stage as a consistent contributor to the accolades earned by the Metal Tour of the Year trek. Supporting legends Megadeth and Lamb of God, Trivium asserted their rank in the hierarchy of heavy with nightly performances that were both inspired and incendiary.

Giving the Shogunate a secondary serving of their streaming performance, Trivium have released a clip of their rendition of “Like A Sword Over Damocles” from the Deadmen & Dragons set. The unveiling coincides with the recent news of Trivium enlisting for a second leg of the universally-lauded Metal Tour of the Year. Again set to support Megadeth and Lamb of God, Trivium will now be joined by In Flames for one of the most anticipated runs of the new year.

Watch the freshly released clip from Trivium and get the dates for the second leg of Metal Tour of the Year below.
