$uicideboy$ enlist Ghostemane, City Morgue and more for the 2023 edition of the Grey Day Tour

Posted by Ramon Gonzales in News on May 17, 2023

The sprawling 40-date trek will see the duo take on arenas and amphitheaters with support from Freddie Dredd, Sematary and Ramirez.

Hip hop outliers $uicideboy$ have unveiled the full details for their annual Grey Day Tour and the scope of the announcement is nothing short of massive. Set to begin late summer and extend well through the fall, the mammoth 40-date excursion will see the tandem of $crim and Ruby Da Cherry command arenas and amphitheaters across the country.

The run will include monumental stops at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles, Madison Square Garden in New York, and tour finale at one of the country’s most distinct live music venues in the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver. True to form, $B have recruited a dynamic, diverse roster of support on the run, with the likes of Ghostemane, City Morgue, Freddie Dredd, Sematary and Ramirez bolstering the magnitude of the tour.

The news arrives as $uicideboy$ continue their prolific run as a true genre-flouting juggernaut. Earlier this month the team began their latest campaign with the unveiling of their Yin Yang Tapes series. Throughout the entire month of May the duo will release a new EP in the collection on every Friday – all of which draw their individual names from the seasons of the year.

The first in the series, Spring Season (1989-1990) commences the start of the succession – all of which will include a series of Japanese-inspired animated visuals helmed by Tristan Zammit (Metallica, XXXTentacion, Juice WRLD).

The string of animated music videos, will follow $uicideboy$-inspired characters Wetto and Blanco as they naviagate “a macabre occultist reality set in a barren and abandoned post-post apocalyptic New Orleans.” The series of four visuals will function as chapters of story unveiled weekly to coincide with each week’s EP drop.

The first animated video, entitled “Hot Razor” debuted just last week, serving as the first in a series of new visuals landing every week.

The arrival of the Yin Yang Tapes follow the recent drop of the duo’s joint-EP with G59 Record$ labelmate Shakewell. Propelled by the success of “Big Shot Cream Soda”, the EP has since tallied more than 50 million streams solely on Spotify – underscoring the can’t miss appeal of $uicideboy$ and their dominant online presence.
