Fresh off the band’s run with The Black Dahlia Murder, After the Burial and Carnifex, the emerging death metal crew hit the road to close out the year.
Over the course of the last two years, Rochester, NY death metal pushers Undeath have earned their rank as one of extreme music’s most exciting, emerging names. The band’s 2019 tandem of demos built enough momentum to carry into a banner 2020, when Undeath pulled back the curtain on their full length Prosthetic Records debut, Lesions of a Different Kind.
The album garnered universal acclaim, resonating with genre snobs and purists – showcasing a skilled balance of classic sound and modern delivery. In addition to it’s effectiveness among the ranks of death metal, the album aklso managed to secure positions on both the U.S. and Canadian Billboard Charts, reiterating the band’s growing reach and undeniable prowess.
The strength of Lesions of a Different Kind would also earn Undeath a spot on one of the most anticipated tours coming out of the pandemic lockdown with the Up From The Sewer run. Headed by genre mainstays The Black Dahlia Murder and supported by the likes of After The Burial and Carnifex, Undeath marked their arrival with a succession of opening sets that asserted the lineage of extreme music was alive and well with an emerging generation of practitioners.
Capitalizing on the momentum from the mega tour, Undeath is venturing out for their own headlining run of the East Coast next month. The concise 6-date run will feature Undeath atop the billing for a string of club shows that will see the band perform selections from Lesions of A Different Kind in front of their most passionate fans. Vocalist Alex Jones shared, “We’re stoked to head back out on the road and rip a couple regional shows to close out the year. These are all gonna be a dope time and we can’t wait to tear it up on some smaller stages like we’re used to. Make sure you come out and party with us!”
