Vended level up their intensity with the video for “Overall”

Des Monies’ new school of heavy debut their first directed music video and the result is a four-minute clobbering.

Ascending Des Moines horde Vended continue to steamroll the scene as one of heavy music’s most promising collectives. Setting the precedent for the year to come, the band delivered two emphatic singles with Asylum” and Burn My Misery introducing their debut EP, What Is It, Kill It which punctuated their 2021 arrival and segued into what would be massive 2022.

Establishing a relentless work ethic, spending most of the year on the road sharpening their blades, the band asserted their muscle among the European festival circuit – delivering standout performances with mainstays like Bloodstock, Wacken, Summer Breeze and an appearance at Knotfest Germany. Domestically, the band proved dominant, topping their own headlining trek, supporting the likes of In Flames and Fit for An Autopsy and making memorable appearances at massive US festivals including Louder Than Life and Aftershock just to name a few.

Earlier this summer, the band debuted a preview of their pummeling new chapter with the reveal of “Ded To Me” coupled with a live visual from their showing at Bloodstock. The end result is one that underscored the band’s frenetic intensity, coupled with a songwriting prowess well beyond their years. The video can be viewed – HERE

Now, Vended have unleashed a secondary serving of their brand of slam with the arrival of the track, “Overall”. Coupled with the band’s first directed music video, the cut features a stylized sequence of each member throwing caution to the wind and crushing their contribution on the highly cathartic 4-minute clobbering. Vended frontman Griffin Taylor detailed the emotive eruption that plays out on the track.

“Overall is a song about getting trapped in your own head and having your thoughts self-sabotage you. And how sometimes YOU are the only person who can help yourself get out of that headspace. “I salt the wound myself” has a double meaning; you either feel the pain from bad thoughts, or you lean into it and embrace them.”

Closing out what has already been a more than productive year, Vended are currently trekking iun support of Ukrainian metal juggernaut, Jinjer. Tickets for that North American run can be found – HERE. Next month, Vended ventures to South America for the first time, with appearances at Hell And Heaven Fest in Mexico City, and performances at Knotfest Bogota, Colombia, and Brazil all confirmed.
