Ozzy history with the WWE dates back to 1986 when he first made an appearance during Wrestlemania 2.
The Prince of Darkness can now add yet another milestone to his unparalleled career. On April 6th, 2021, Ozzy Osbourne was officially inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Joining the ceremonial festivities remotely from his home in Los Angeles, Ozzy submitted a video acceptance speech that was concise, albeit heartfelt.
“Thank you so much WWE Universe for this award,” Ozzy beamed. “I don’t deserve it, but thank you anyway.
“It’s all about the fans, really,” Ozzy added. “Our fans are what keep us alive, really. It’s all about them. I wanna thank Vince McMahon and Triple H. Thank you very much, God bless you.”
Ozzy joins the 2021 induction class of Kane, Rob Van Dam, Davey Boy Smith, Jushin Liger, the nWo, the Bella Twins, Titus O’Neil, JBL, Molly Holly, the Great Khali, and Eric Bischoff. Also inducted into the 2021 Hall of Fame as a celebrity, William Shatner.
The ceremony is part of a week long schedule of events leading up to this this weekend’s Wrestlemania 37 pay per view event. Ozzy’s history with the wrestling banner dates back to 1986 when Ozzy was out in support of The British Bulldogs during their tag-team match against Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake at Wrestlemania 2. In the years since, Ozzy has become linked with the WWE making appearances in both 2007 and 2009.
