Buzz Osborne and Dale Crover reunite with original drummer Mike Dillard to complete the band’s 1983 line-up fo their latest album on Ipecac Recordings.
The 1983 iteration of Melvins in the trio of Buzz Osborne, Dale Crover and original dummer Mike Dillard have converged as they did for the 2013 album, Tres Cabrones.
This time out, the classic line up is gearing up for their Ipecac Recordings release, Working With God. Following the band’s crass take on the Beach Boys’ classic, “I Get Around” with the album’s opening track, “I Fuck Around,” the band has offered another taste of the LP with the stylistic sludge of “Caddy Daddy”.
Along with the Working With God LP, Melvins will be reissuing Gluey Porch Treatments and Hostile Ambient Takeover, all on the same February 26th date.
Buzz Osborne recently released his acoustic collection recorded by Mr Bungle Trevor Dunn, Gift of Sacrifice. Later this month, Crover will be releasing his second solo effort, Rat-A-Tat-Tat!.
