The band’s first album in 13 years was a critical and commercial success.

Despite awards season looking very different this year, the show must go on.

The 2020 Billboard Music Awards honored some of the biggest names in music last night and among the winners taking home some hardware include the one and only, Tool.

The band’s Fear Inoculum took home ‘Top Rock Album” honors competing against the likes of Vampire Weekend, Tame Impala, The Lumineers, and Slipknot’s We Are Not Your Kind. Tool’s first album in 13 years, the record hit Number 1 on the charts and proved to be a massive success.

The band also earned a nomination in the ‘Top Rock Artist’ category but lost to Panic! At the Disco.

Additional noteworthy artists that earned nods include Metallica in the ‘Top Touring Artist’ category and Mötley Crüe for their original soundtrack for the film, The Dirt.
