The band’s ‘All Within My Hands’ charity live streaming event featured a split acoustic/electric set and a reimagined version the anthem.
Metallica hosted another live streaming event over the weekend, this time devoting their efforts to their ‘All Within My Hands’ charity. The “LIve & Acoustic’ set was broadcast from the band’s HQ in Northern California.
Giving fans and ticket holders something particularly special, what was supposed to be an acoustic play broke out into an electric Metallica show as the band essentially split their stage time, first going it acoustic and then performing a six-song set of anthems at full power.
Showing their mastery of the segue, the band performed an electric version of their acoustic arrangement of the classic, “Disposable Heroes”. With Hetfield joking on the mic about confusing fans, Lars chimed in by welcoming viewers into the “4th dimension,” before shredding to a worldwide live audience.
The streaming event gave fans the opportunity to sit in on an intimate session with one of the greatest bands on the planet. Now the band has made some the footage available for fans that missed the broadcast. Check the set list below and watch Metallica’s retooled version of “Disposable Heroes” below.
