Coheed and Cambria Share New Video "Rise, Naianasha (Cut The Cord)"

The single follows the massive success of "Shoulders" which earned Coheed their highest radio charting position to date.

Progressive rock icons Coheed and Cambria have released a lyric video for their brand new single “Rise, Naianasha (Cut The Cord)”. This is the 2nd single of 2021, nearly four months after the band issued "Shoulders" as fans speculate on a possible followup to 2018's Vaxis - Act I: The Unheavenly Creatures.

Coheed and Cambria vocalist / guitarist Claudio Sanchez comments: “Rise, Naianasha (Cut The Cord)” explaining, “Rise, Nainasha’ explores the reach of love and loyalty and the reality that sometimes you need to be more than a shoulder to lean on - you need to become the destroyer.”

2021 has been a strong yes for the band. “Shoulders” reached the Top 15 at Active Rock Radio in the USA, marking the group’s career highest radio chart position to date and fueling the speculative fires among their fans.

The band also wrapped up their co-headlining tour with The Used in late September after a month's worth of shows and, as of now, the band has no other dates on the books. With Vaxis – Act I: The Unheavenly Creatures, being said to be the first of a five-part story arc, 2022 is wide open for a possible release of the next in the series.
