Lamb of God lead the charge as champions of American metal on the Omens Tour

See the exceptional images from photographer Maurice Nunez from the Los Angeles stop of one of the biggest tours of the year.

Trekking in support of the band's ninth, and arguably, most impactful full length album to date, Lamb of God's Omens Tour has been a celebration of heavy music with each stop on the cross-country jaunt.

With a diverse rotation of supporting artists in tow, the overall health of the culture is on display at full strength with bands like Baroness, Motionless In White, Spiritbox, Animals As Leaders, Suicide Silence, and Fit For An Autopsy showcasing the versatility of the genre. Coupled with fellow American metal pioneers Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God's dynamic is that of tenured mainstays and groundbreaking contemporaries.

Just days removed from the arrival of Omens, a sonic triumph for a band whose accolades are as stacked as their wall of sound, Lamb of God has shown no signs of slowing despite their decades of dominance. If their Los Angeles tour stop is any indicator, the band seems to have in fact, turned a new corner. Reinvigorated with the release of new material and energized by the enthusiastic reception of the effort thus far, Lamb of God towered on the stage at YouTube Theater - reiterating why their brand of heft has not only withstood the test of time, but continues to defy it.

Compiling a setlist that roped in essentials from their vast catalog, combined with fresher selections from both their 2020 Self-titled release and the tour titular Omens - new bangers like "Nevermore" proved just as effective as ageless anthems like "Laid To Rest". Emphasizing their prowess as performers, their chops as musicians and the conviction at the core of their craft, Lamb of God took their place in the winner's circle in Los Angeles with a capacity crowd bearing witness.
