It would seem as the though the Arizona aggressors in DED have found a new gear.
Late last year the band announced the beginning of their campaign on UNFD with the debut of the single "Rockstar". Showcasing the collective's signature nu-metal lean, the track was an assertive reminder of DED's capability - even after a lengthy reset following their 2021 LP, School of Thought.
Leveling up yet again, DED's most recent offering submits likely one of their most aggressive, emphatic entries to date - one that also features the creative cosign of one Chris Motionless of Motionless In White.
"Until I Die" is a relentless show of force backed by frenetic guitars, throttled percussion and a vocal performance from Joe Cotela that is as caustic as it is confrontational. Combined the added muscle of Chris Motionless, the track is a powerful reminder of DED's refocus and their continued commitment to their craft.
Speaking of the latest single, frontman Joe Cotela explained how the latest offering is an important culmination. “Until I Die” is a song a couple years in the making. It has taken on many forms and has finally arrived to the world in the most aggressive and pissed off form possible. Especially having our friend Chris Motionless get down on it adding his legendary vocals, it really brought it to the next level. I came to him with it just saying “Let’s just go fucking hard on this”. It was such an honor to work on music together with Chris to complete this song, to fire off vocals back and forth and now it finally belongs to EVERYONE!”
The track lands as the band continues to ramp up their momentum. DED delivered a highlight showing at this year's Shiprocked voyage and is currently featured on the America's Rejects Tour along with Attila and Butcher Babies. The band is also slated to appear at this year's Louder Than Life festival in Louisville this September.
"Until I Die" featuring Chris Motionless is available via UNFD. See the remaining dates of the America's Rejects below.
