The legendary guitarist speaks candidly about his departure from Judas Priest and how his next project is a love letter to the fans.

Host Joshua Toomey welcomed heavy metal royalty for his most recent edition of the Talk Toomey podcast.

Special guest K.K. Downing, formerly of the cultural pillar Judas Priest, joined the show for an at-length conversation that revised his storied past and what lies ahead in his very near future. Currently Roding high the formation of his latest project, K.K. Priest along with vocalist Tim "Ripper" Owens, the legendary axeman covered a broad range of talking points during his time in the hot seat.

Further detailing the progress of 'Sermons of the Sinner,' Downing shared the story the convergence of musicians and ideas that resulted in the project moving ahead full steam in what has ultimately become a love letter to the fans. Downing also spoke candidly about his tenure and eventual departure from Judas Priest and even confided that he was in fact, willing to do one final tour with the legendary outfit.

The conversation also touched on the next wave of British Heavy Metal and managed to trek back to the early days of Priest - where the band really seemed to gel as their first few albums cemented their rank as global icons.
