Set to unleash their next full length, From A Distance, September 4th on Pure Noise Records, Steel City metalcore collective 156/Silence continues their streak of effective previews with the latest, "Swept From Under (Call of the Void)". 

The driving cadence of the single helmed by guitarist and primary songwriterJimmy Howell, along with a powerhouse vocal performance from frontman Jack Murray amount to another emphatic reminder of power of 156/Silence. 

The band spoke to the emotion that reads between the lines of the latest single, "The call of the void is the voice in our heads that wants to self-destruct even when we don’t feel bad. A compulsion to hurt ourselves even if we don’t want to. Being swept from under by intrusive thoughts."

Along with the requisite aggression that has made 156/Silence such a celebrated unit, From A Distance finds the band building on the sonic expansion of People Watching to make for their most complete offering yet. With narrative that references the Resident Evil franchise and the stylized noir of Twin Peaks, the scope of 156/Silence is as ambitious as their sound. 

Working with producer Josh Schroeder (King 810, Lorna Shore, The Plot In You), the album marks a pivotal debut via Pure Noise Records. The album also boasts a stellar roster of supporting appearances with the likes of Mike Hranica of The Devil Wears Prada, Alex Reade of Make Them Suffer and Tony Castrati of Crippling Alcoholism each submitting their contribution. 

Later this month, 156/Silence will join Chiodos on the It's Not You, It's Me tour along with a confirmed date at Louder Than Life Festival September. A current list of dates and cities can be found below.
