Pennsylvania agitators 156/Silence have announced they have signed with Pure Noise Records, marking an important professional moment for the band. The news arrives as the band are currently out on the road supporting Counterparts and sharing selections from their most recent full length, 2024's People Watching.
WHile already on an upward trajectory, 156/Silence has only added fuel to their ascent with the confirmation of the new label. Adding to that momentum, the band have quickly began their new campaign, unveiling a hulking new track in "Our Parting Ways," the first reveal of new music since last year's LP release.
Speaking of the weighty new track, the band illuminated it's emotive theme, "Our parting ways will always come together. The spaces left between what was and what is hold a place of their own to be remembered with grace. As the pages decrease in our story, we bleed to gain access to the memories of the path we once shared."
As for the start of their run on Pure Noise Records, 156/Silence explained their excitement in finding an ally with the label - one that touts a catalog that the band is proud to be a part of. 'Pure Noise has always been a label we have all been fans of so when the option to sign with them was there, we couldn't pass it up. Everyone at the label has been so accommodating and supportive. Very excited for the future of 156 with Pure Noise."
