Making important strides within just the first week of release, Kawaii metal unit BABYMETAL have crashed through the glass ceiling in their meteoric ascent.
The band's fifth studio album debuted at the 9 spot on the Billboard 200. That Top 10 marks an important first for BABYMETAL and also makes them the the very first-ever all Japanese group to achieve that mark.
The album which touts an impressive roster of collaborations from the likes of Tom Morello, Spiritbox, Poppy, Electric Callboy, Slaughter to Prevail and Bloodywood also secured the number 1 spot on Japan's Oricon Rock Chart as well as the number 2 post on the Itunes Download charts. With just the initial tally of sales in the bag, the band is on pace to have yet another career-defining year.
