Kawaii metal powerhouse BABYMETAL have announced the follow-up to their 2023 full length, THE OTHER ONE.
Making history in becoming the first-ever Japanese artist to sign a frontline deal with Capitol Records, BABYMETAL will make their label debut with METAL FORTH, the new album due out June 13th.
The album boasts a serious roster of collaboration tracks including BABYMETAL's previously released entries with Electric Callboy in "RATATATA" and the cut with Tom Morello, "METAL!!". In addition, the trio of SU-METAL, MOAMETAL and MOMOMETAL will join forces with the likes of Spiritbox, Poppy, Polyphia, Slaughter to Prevail and team once again with Punjabi metal heroes Bloodywood for mammoth collection of collaborative tracks.
Tom March, the chairman of CEO of Capitol Records spoke about the history-making deal and his outlook for the future with BABYMETAL aligning with the legendary label. “BABYMETAL’s groundbreaking sound and compelling artistic vision have not only cultivated a worldwide following, but have also demonstrably shifted global music culture. We at Capitol Records are privileged to join them in this next chapter as we continue to amplify their international reach and influence with the upcoming release of Metal Forth.”
Taking cues from the band's epic pair of colossal performances at the Yokohama Arena in Japan, BABYMETAL will be leading their arena-sized spectacle for fans throughout Europe in 2025. Kicking off their first-ever arena tour throughout the EU/UK, the band will become the first Japanes artist ever to headline the iconic O2 Arena in London.
Additionally, BABYMETAL will embark on a sprawling North American tour this summer which will feature support from Black Veil Brides, Jinjer and Bloodywood. The run begins on same day METAL FORTH arrives, June 13th with a kickoff in Houston, TX. The tour wraps on July 23rd with a finale in Phoenix, AZ.
