Georgia metal outliers Baroness just recently dropped their most complete full length to date with the arrival of Stone, dropping just last month. The Abraxan Hymns release has already earned heaps of critical praise, positioning the band to see heavy inclusion with the year-ending 'Best of' lists already being narrowed. 

Only a month removed from the album's release, Baroness have shared a deluxe edition of Stone which is bolstered by the addition of six live tracks, all of which were recorded during the band's 2022, 'Your Baroness' Tour. 

The news lands as the band have also announced additional eight acoustic record store performances. The run of intimate plays begins at Daddy Kool Records in St. Petersburg, Fl. on October 16th and hits select cities into mid-November. 

 

“Independent music stores are a huge part of our musical background,” John Baizley said the move for Baroness to play select record stores.

“We discovered so much music in them as teenagers; they undoubtedly had a profound effect on all of our development as young artists (they still do). We are thrilled to be able to travel around the East Coast to play stripped down sets in some of our favorite shops.”

The dates coincide with the massive Sweet Oblivion Tour that sees Baroness trekking with an impressive, rotating roster of live support. Among the bands sharing the stage include, Jesus Piece, Escuela Grind, Portrayal of Guilt, Primitive Man, Midwife, Agriculture, KEN Mode, Hoaxed, Vile Creature, Watfarer, Destiny Bond, Chat Pile. Spotlights, Cloud Rat, Soul Glo, Sheer Mag, Imperial Triumphant and Uniform.
