Arizona's blessthefall celebrated their long-awaited return last year, delivering their first showing of new music in five years with the single, "Wake the Dead". Since the arrival of the track, "Wake the Dead" has tallied more than 10 million streams underscoring the appetite that remains rabid among diehards and new fans alike.
Recently, blessthefall bounced back with the release of another standalone single in "Drag Me Under". Coinciding with the launch of a new touring run through September, the track also featured a prominent guest assist from Lochie Keogh of emerging Aussie aggressors, Alpha Wolf.
The electrifying single emphasized a true return to form for belsssthefall and included a co-writing credit for Tony Cappocchi of Dragged Under as well as production from Hiram Hernandez.
Now, blessthefall has unloaded a massive new music video for "Drag Me Under". The cut was helmed by director Jake Johnston and compliments the band's unhinged performance, augmented by the spew of Lochie Keogh.
BTF's vocalists Beau Bokan spoke about the genesis of "Drag Me Under" and how selecting the right person for the guest feature would what would send the single over the top. "The first time I heard the instrumental for 'Drag Me Under,' my mind was absolutely blown away," says Bokan.
"This song punishes you relentlessly then lets you breathe for about four seconds then continues to punish. I knew we needed a top tier feature to really make this song stand out so we recruited Lochie Keogh from Alpha Wolf. It's pretty obvious this song is totally different than anything we're ever done but still sounds like Blessthefall.”
The video for "Drag Me Under" lands as the band begin their live campaign across the US. The blessthefall headlining tour kicks off tonight (8/28) in Berkeley, CA and wraps in Davenport, IA in exactly one month - September 28th. A complete list of dates and cities can be found below.
