2024 has proven a pivotal year for Japanese metalcore mainstays, Crossfaith. In addition to releasing their universally acclaimed full length AЯK, the band also welcomed Daiki Koide officially as the permanent guitarist for the band - cementing what has been the Crossfaith 2.0 era.
In celebration of the band's massive strides, Crossfaith has punctuated 2024 with the announcement of their own festival line-up, Hyper Planet. Set for February 2nd, Hyper Planet will take place at Japan's largest convention center, Makuhari Messe in Chiba, just outside of Tokyo.
Anchored by a headlining set from Crossfaith, the band have curated a potent supporting line-up with featured sets from the likes of Enter Shikari, Underoath, Wargasm, Paledusk and so many more.
Crossfaith architect Kenta Koie spoke about the major announcement. "From the moment we started Crossfaith, hosting our own festival has always been one of our biggest dreams. With HYPER PLANET, a festival we are proud to host, that dream is now coming true."
He added how the roster of artists aligns with Crossfaith's own disregard for conventionalism in their craft. "This will be a place where artists from around the world, Japanese artists, and people who resonate with music can unite as one. HYPER PLANET breaks the boundaries of traditional rock festivals by featuring music that has shaped us — genres like hip-hop, electronic and more. Here, you'll experience a world where music knows no borders."
Koie shared his hope of the festival's universal reach, "We are pouring everything into this festival and truly hope the movement we create will reach not only Japan but expand and evolve globally too!"
