Indian metal trailblazers Bloodywood have enlisted the over-the-top heavy pop spectacle of BABYMETAL for a collaboration that results in a marvelous collision of styles. "Bekhauf" serves as the very first collaboration release from Bloodywood ever and the latest in a succession of joint projects from BABYMETAL that includes their recent juggernaut RATATATA" with Electric Callboy along with release in tandem with Tom Morello, Lil Uzi Vert and their gold-certified "KINGSLAYER" with Bring Me the Horizon.
Combining Bloodywood's stylized intensity and accents of Indian sound elements with the sugary J-Pop delivery of BABYMETAL, the track moves as a rapid-fire pace making for an anthem that is sure to incite pandemonium live. The band further elaborated on the creative courageousness of the single and how that theme fueled the energy of the project.
"'Bekhauf' means 'fearless' in Hindi," explains the band. "It was born out of the realization that fear can be seen as a choice, and that choice is our own. It's about using this knowledge to take control of our fears and eliminate the side of them that holds us back."
Bloodywood added how it was important to find the right counterpart to ensure their vision reached it full artistic potential. "We've been waiting to find the right artists to work with and when the possibility of the BABYMETAL collab emerged, we knew it was time. We were all fans of their music, but were still surprised by the level of synergy we managed to achieve on the track. It's a trilingual song and features English, Hindi. and Japanese, BABYMETAL even sang some parts in Hindi. but we think you can feel the message regardless and that's a testament to this synergy."
The release celebrates the recent signing of Bloodywood to Fearless Records and follows the recent debut of "Nu Delhi". The trilingual track offers a shining example of the band's bold musical depth, while paying tribute to their home and history. In the weeks since the song's release, "Nu Delhi" has gone on to tally more than 3 million streams and climbing.
The track lands as the band prep for their Return of the Singh EU/UK tour which is quickly selling for the start of next year. Additionally, the band will embark on a Japanese tour in May which is set to hit pre-sale soon. Tickets can be purchased - HERE
