Florida aggressors Bodysnatcher have debuted an urgent, compelling new single and landed the definitive vocal charge of Jamey Jasta for added emphasis. The track "Murder8" has serious added significance for the band - given the thematic weight, apart from it's clobbering cadence.
Bodysnatcher drummer Chris Whited shared how his story of colossal personal loss added to the gravity of the single. "'Murder8' is a street name for Fentanyl. I lost my older brother in 2022 to fentanyl and then I lost my younger sister just one year later in 2023 to fentanyl as well.
Opioids have been prescribed at alarming rates since the early 2000’s and have affected millions of families across the world, especially the United States. If you have lost someone due to overdose this song goes out to you."
The anthemic single will be featured on the band's Record Store Day, vinyl only release of their Vile Conduct EP. The release arrives via MNRK Heavy and will be available exclusively at participating retailers. See the list of locations - HERE
The track and accompanying music video lands as the band prepare to head out on the Dedication to Flesh co-headlining EU/UK tour next week with fellow brutalizers, Spite. The run will also feature supporting sets from special guests, Boundaries and Mouth for War. The following month, Bodysnatcher will return to North American soil for a second co-headliner with Spite - this time trekking the U.S. on The Common Enemies Tour. Thrown, Knosis, PSYCHO-FRAME and Cell are confirmed as support for that run.
Bodysnatcher are also set to make appearances at this year's Welcome to Rockville and Sonic Temple music festivals. See the complete list of confirmed dates below.
