The stunning single came from the the band’s ‘Unison Life’ sessions from last year.
Fresh off a festival stretch that included brilliant showings at Download, 2000trees and ArcTanGent, Brutus have announced plans to continue their Unison Life campaign with the announcement of a spring trek of North America set for next year.
Along with the touring confirmation, the band has released a mammoth new single along with a new visual helmed by Maximiliaan Dierickx. Showcasing an emotive performance from drummer/vocalist Stefanie Mannaerts, the track was a b-side from the Unison Life sessions.
Speaking of the new release, Mannaerts shared how the band was eager to finally unveil the track. “We are very happy we can release this now, after such a crazy year on the road. ‘Love Won’t Hide The Ugliness‘ has always been one of my favorite songs when we were writing the album.”
Mannaerts also explained the loaded message of the single, “The song is about how love can cloud judgment and make it difficult to remain impartial. It can cause people to blindly follow others and lose their own sense of beauty. In the worst case, it can lead to self-destruction and damage relationships.”
The band will release a special 7” of the track as along with the deluxe one year anniversary edition of Unison Life, which lands October 27th. Pre-orders for the release are currently available – HERE
