Louisiana aggressors Capra have revealed a staggering preview of their pending sophomore album, Errors, which is set to arrives October 6th via Metal Blade Records / Blacklight Media Records. Following the unveiling of the project along with their fiery first single, “Tied Up“, Capra have debuted the second serving from the album and enlisted a metalcore veteran for some added muscle.

Connecting with Candace Puopolo of Walls of Jericho, Capra have shared the high-powered, heavy-hitting “Human Commodity” – a track characterized by the band’s caustic meld of intensity and intricacy. Seamlessly transitioning from fits of frenzy to a clobbering co-vocal attack from Crow Lotus and Puopolo, the second single is Capra at their very best.

Capra guitarist Tyler Harper weighed in on working with Puopolo, who he cited as being core to the band’s stylistic pedigree. “We are so honored to have worked with Candace Puopolo on this track. I grew up listening to Walls of Jericho and they were always a major influence on my music. To have a legend involved with what we’re doing is such a rad feeling.”

Further elaborating on the album overall, Harper added, “I knew that I wanted it to pick up where the first album left off, but that it needed to have an entirely new attitude. If you listen to the last song from ‘In Transmission’ into the first song on ‘Errors’, it’s a continuation. From there the album steers off into a direction that still feels similar, but is new.”

For the third album, the band stays true to their hardcore roots, but really stretches their creativity to new heights. “I’ve always wanted to show a prettier/lighter side to this band where it’s not always aggressive,” says Harper. “Life is a rollercoaster and sometimes you need to throw some pretty piano into it.”

En route to the October album release, Capra will be out on tour with Zao for a US run in September. Additionally, Capra have been confirmed as one of the artists for the carefully curated line-up for Dia De Los Deftones in November. A full list of dates can be found below.
