Making a strong assertion as a contender for AOTY, Pittsburgh-made progressives Code Orange have announced plans to trek in support of their brilliant Blue Grape full length, The Above.
Headed the titular, The Above tour, the collective of Code Orange will embark on a 24-date headlining stretch set to kick of in mid-February of 2024. Marking the band's first headlining run since the release of the album, the tour will include a bolstered supporting roster filled out by Teenage Wrist, Spy, Gridiron, and Soul Blind.
The announcement lands following their recent hometown album release celerbation, Code's World, a DIY-driven festival that marked the arrival of The Above and saw a full day of performances curated by Code Orange and featuring the likes of Madball, Vein.FM, 200 Stab Wounds and many more.
The Above marks Code Orange's first release via Blue Grape and another definitive example of their fully encompassing, DIY approach. The self-produced effort was headed by Jami Morgan and Eric “Shade” Balderose and saw the band establish their NOWHERE2RUN film production arm, headed Morgan, Balderose and cinematographer Eric Robbins.
