The latest preview from the sophomore solo release showcases pure rock revelry and offers a glimpse of the energy to come on Taylor’s upcoming tour dates.

Amid soaring guitars and a locomotive steady backbeat, beloved frontman and rock culture champion Corey Taylor again proves incendiary on his latest preview from CMF2. Recently debuting the third single from his forthcoming sophomore solo effort, “Talk Sick” asserts the rock music pedigree that remains core to Taylor’s DNA, complete with an infectious hook and the songwriter’s poignant power of the pen.

“That sick guitar at the beginning, I played that through a speaker about the size of a coffee cup. It made it sound violent; you feel like you’re being stung by bees who are playing along to the Sex Pistols,” detailed Taylor of the track.

He elaborated on the cathartic nature of song and the sense of release that fuels his signature scream, “There’s an element of spiritual regurgitation, trying to purge yourself of demons that have been clinging to you. because of prior relationships, romantic or otherwise. You realize those people bring a certain asshole side out of you that you don’t necessarily want in your life. It’s about trying to lance that boil and get that sickness out of you.”

The release of “Talk Sick” follows successful showings from CMF2 thus far with both “Post Traumatic Blues” and the introductory single, “Beyond”. In the weeks since the arrival of the inital single, “Beyond” continues to resonate with Taylor’s passionate base, positioned firmly in the Top 15 at Rock Radio, the entry also landed the cover and coveted #1 on Spotify’s Rock Hard playlist.

The eagerly-awaited follow-up to the widely-acclaimed debut in CMFT, boasts added significance of the for Taylor, with the September 15th release marking the inaugural release via his own label, Decibel Cooper.

Teaming with producer Jay Ruston who previously worked with Taylor on both Stone Sour’s Hydrograd as well as the CMFT debut, the second installment of the series finds Taylor leveling up his artistry both as a frontman and a seasoned songwriter. Singing, playing both lead and rhythm guitar, as well as piano and mandolin, CMF2 offers testament to the full range of Taylor’s ever-evolving performative prowess.

The arrival of “Talk Sick” precedes Taylor’s upcoming extensive North American headlining tour, slated to begin late August. The run will include supporting sets from Wargasm, Oxymorrons and Luna Aura on select dates and will feature several festival appearances including Rocklahoma, Blue Ridge Rock Festival, Louder Than Life and will culminate with a set at Aftershock in Sacramento this October.

Closing out the year, Taylor will then make his live return to Europe and the UK to showcase live selections from CMF2. This November, Taylor will headline a succession of live dates touching down in the UK, France, Germany and The Netherlands in a hotly-anticipated succession of tour stops.
