Crossfaith Join Forces With Wargasm For Chaotic New Track, "God Speed"

- By Ramon Gonzales

The potent single previews the UNFD/Warner Music Japan release due out June 6th - AЯK.

Last month, veteran Japanese rock powerhouse Crossfaith confirmed their first full length release in more than six years with the announcement of the album, AЯK. The news marked an important victory for the band, who endured a lengthy stretch marred by the uncertainty of the global pandemic that stalled the world for a couple of years in addition to some significant personnel changes within the band.

The confirmation of the album followed the previously shared preview of "Zero" and was officially introduced with the metal/industrial hybrid "L.A.M.N." which featured a guest spot from Bobby Wolfgang.

En route to the band's June 26th release via UNFD, Crossfaith has again thrown down the gauntlet with an unhinged new single, this time enlisting UK's dynamic duo of Sam Matlock and Milkie Way of Wargasm for the track, "God Speed". Anchored by a powerful electronic pulse, combined with anthemic lyrics and aggressive guitars, "God Speed" offers an audacious meld of styles and the kind of explosive performance befitting a Wargasm and Crossfaith collab.

Speaking of the ethos of the track, Crossfaith explained that "God Speed" emphasizes individuality in a climate that is much more conducive to conformity. According to Crossfaith, "God Speed" is “based on the concept of simply living in obedience to one’s desires. It expresses the attitude we should not lose in this restricted and monitored society.”

As for the decision to team with Wargasm on the latest offering, Crossfaith attribute the decision to the tandem's provocative presence which adds an infectiousness to the single. Crossfaith offered high praise of Wargasm calling them “a duo with distinctive and iconic voices, and their contribution adds an erotic and dirty vibe to this track.”

AЯK arrives June 26th via UNFD and Warner Music Japan. The album is available to order - HERE
